- Consistently strengthening your resilience
Go to the sauna and take contrast showers daily. This helps you to train your immune system. Caution: Sweating in the sauna is suitable only for healthy people.
- Exercise a lot
Jogging, swimming, Nordic Walking – whichever kind of exercise you prefer, do at least half an hour of sport every two days if possible and take plenty of walks in the fresh air.
- Healthy diet
Eat plenty of fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables. Apples, citrus fruits, peppers, broccoli, pumpkin and various types of cabbage all contain vitamins C and A, which promote the immune system.
A hot lemon drink on cool evenings, a tea infusion of vitamin-rich elderberry, fresh lemon juice in water, teas or juices additionally protect the body from pathogens. A balanced diet rich in iron, zinc, selenium, beef, poultry, lean pork, fish and wholemeal products also protects the immune system. Avoid stimulants such as alcohol and nicotine as much as possible.
- Seek out fresh air
Regularly ventilate your home and work environment. Heating air dries out the mucous membranes. You can counteract this with humidifiers.
Our tip: If you still catch a cold, we recommend a freshly prepared chicken broth. It contains not only chicken meat, which is rich in trace elements, but also a lot of vitamin C from carrots, onions and celery.
