Fit for spring with the right drinks: Water, green tea and a cup of coffee are recommended

They purify the body and free it from accumulated acids. You can support your kidneys with the right drinks and balanced drinking habits. Drink mainly mineral water and green tea. Green tea contains flavonoids that protect cells and blood vessels. A cup of coffee is also good for the kidneys and promotes the excretion of water. Alcohol in small amounts also has a diuretic effect. However, you should avoid cola, or salty or artificially sweetened drinks. In larger quantities, they damage the health of the kidneys.

How to help your kidneys:

  • Drink at least two litres of liquid evenly throughout the day.
  • Add variety to your daily selection of drinks.
    Water, fruit teas, herbal teas and diluted fruit juices are recommended.
  • Always keep a drink within reach. That way, you will take more frequent sips.
